Who could have predicted this outcome?

Jake Paul, who is 27-years old, has defeated the 58-year old Mike Tyson.

THE LARGEST AGE GAP IN A SANCTIONED FIGHT IN HISTORY. Mike Tyson has not entered a ring professionally since 2005.

Jake Paul, who became famous in his youth during the YouTube star years of the internet, has since turned his attention toward content and boxing. The ego filled “boxer” now has a 11-1 “professional” boxing record.

Professional is in quotes here, due to the fact that his fight history is nothing to be proud of. No one respects this clown as a true fighter. Until he is stepping into the ring with someone who is his age consistently, the only true fight he has on his sheet is that vs. Tommy Fury, who destroyed him.

Here is a list of Paul’s previous 11 “professional” fights:

  • AnEsonGib – YouTuber turned Boxer, like Paul.
  • Nate Robinson – 36-year old (fight age) former NBA player (yep, basketball player)
  • Ben Askren – retired UFC fighter known for his wrestling – 36-years old at time of fight
  • Two Fights: Tyron Woodley – at the time 39-year old, again same as Askren, a UFC fighter known for their wrestling.
  • Anderson Silva – 47-year old stepped into the ring, after again, a UFC career. FORTY SEVEN.
  • LOSS to 23-year old Tommy Fury, one of three true professional boxer on his fight list.
  • Nate Diaz – Former UFC fighter, who was 38 at the time of the fight.
  • Andre August – Another  professional boxer on this list. Paul did defeat him via KO, he was 35 during the fight.
  • Ryan Bourland – 35-year old former boxer
  • Mike Perry – 33-year old, who – stop me if you’ve heard this – was a former UFC fighter, not boxer.

For those keeping track at home, that is a combined fighting age average of 34.6 years old for his opponents. The guy has been fighting washed up UFC fighters and NBA players trying to pose as a real boxer. And now, he is fighting a 58-year old Tyson, who is a grandfather.

In an interview this week, Paul said he feels he could beat Mike Tyson at any point of his career.
Yes, the same Mike Tyson who was the Undisputed Heavy Weight Champion of the World, who defended his title 10-times. Yeah, pretty boy YouTuber, I’m sure you could. And that title of “Champion of the World” came at a time when boxing mattered to America and the world. The sport has since fallen, however big fights still spark interest – or events that are well promoted… like the one we watched tonight.

To say Jake Paul is a professional boxer is to say I am a NFL General Manager/Coach due to my extensive effort put into my Madden Franchise.

If one thing is true about Jake Paul, he is a con-artist in the legal form. Hustling millions of dollars out of companies and citizens to watch his rigged fights and antics. He knows what he is doing in the media, which is impressive. But I cannot stand the “professional” in front of his boxing career.

Til Next Time,
Trevor
