Forget They Played There?

Happy Throwback Thursday,

Welcome back to Week 2 of the “Forget They Played There?” series, where each week we will look at a couple of players who spent a short amount of time with a franchise. Chances are if you are a die-hard fan, you will remember some of these, but I would be willing to say there are some you didn’t know, but most definitely some you forgot.

Manny Ramirez – Tampa Bay Rays

Two World Series Rings, 12 All-Star apperances, and countless other accolades are all on Manny Ramirez’s Hall of Fame resume (tanted by steroids, just saying). While spending the majority of his career in Cleveland and Boston, did you know that the slugger was also a member of the Tampa Bay Rays, where he would make his last MLB appearances? Granted, he played 5 games where with 17 at-bats, and an outstanding .059 batting average, but hey, he drove in a run in his time so he did help the team in someway.

Adrian Beltre – Boston Red Sox

As a member of the 3000 hit club, Adrian Beltre should be destin Cooperstown. Before spending 8 seasons in Texas, and after spending 5 years in Seattle… did you know the star 3rd baseman spent a singular season with the Boston Red Sox. Signing a 1 year deal, with a second year player option that he would decline, he led the AL in doubles that season, and would go on to spend the rest of his career with the Rangers.

Till Next Time,
Trevor
