Tragic news broke this morning, as 24-year old Dwayne Haskins has passed away after being hit by a car in Florida.

According to reports, Haskins exited his vehicle on the side of the road and was hit by another vehicle in passing. The police report has not been released yet. Haskins was training with fellow Steeler teammates in Florida at the time of his death.

The Ohio State standout was a 5-Star recruit out of Maryland, having committed to play at the University of Maryland before flipping to Ohio State. After a successful career as a Buckeye, the Washington Redskins selected him 15th overall. Spending 2 seasons with the Redskins as both a backup and starter, Haskins was released from Washington and signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he was expected to compete for the starting job.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Haskins family, and all of those effected by this horrific loss.

Till Next Time,
Trevor
