Caleb Williams has announced that he will be transfering to the University of Southern California. The Former 5-Star High school recruit out of Washington D.C. will be heading to the West Coast to continue his college football career. His former head coach at Oklahoma left to become the Trojans head coach, instantly raising speculation that the true freshman would be following him to USC. This morning, follwoing Lincoln Riley’s tweet that was retweeted by Williams, he tweeted out his committment video.
With the loss of Jaxson Dart to Ole Miss this week, it was getting to the point where if Williams didn’t committ to USC, questions were starting to arise as to what Riley would do. But now, the new question comes into play – Can Williams and Riley recreate the magic they had produced in Norman?
Williams will enter the 2022 College Football Season has a Heisman hopeful, and Riley has been doing his part in the recruiting scene since the day he stepped on campus in Los Angeles. It is not going to be an easy task trying to build USC into the Pete Carrol hayday, but with the amount of recruits and transfers that Riley has brought in, he is well on his way.
Trojans fans have been ecstatic since the announcing of Riley as their new head coach, and today the excitement grows more.
Fight On!
Till Next Time,
Trevor
