The Machine is headed back to where it all began. Albert Pujols has agreed to terms on a 1-year deal to return to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Due to MLB and MLBPA’s new CBA, the National League will now have the DH, which you have to believe is the only reason this reunion was possible.

The first ballot hall of famer may be past his prime, but being 21 home runs shy of the 700 mark, you have to hope he is swinging for the fences in every at-bat.

Signings like this are why we love sports. Pujols left St. Louis for a mega deal with the Los Angeles Angels in 2012. Now 10 years later, the man who had 9 All-Star appearances, 3 MVP’s, and 2 World Series rings Cardinals uniform is returning for one last ride. Name a better ending to a historic career.

Till Next Time,
Trevor
