Happy Monday,
Tonight is the last night of the 2022-23 College Football Season, and I am not happy about it. College Football Season is the best time of the year and nothing compares to it, especially bowl season. However, like all good things, it must come to an end.
Tonight, the #1 Georgia Bulldogs will be facing the #4 TCU Horned Frogs at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The Bulldogs have been the surefire best team in college football all season, while the Horned Frogs came into the season with a new head coach, a questionmark at quarterback, and not much in terms of National Championship hopes. However, things change, and that new head coach in Fort Worth won College Football’s Coach of the Year, the questionmarked quarterback was the Heisman runner-up, and now they are one win away from being National Champs.
Unfortunately for them they are playing, again, the best team in college football this year. UGA squeaked by Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl, however I don’t see them having any issues with the Horned Frogs. They opened the game as 13 point favorites, which is the largest spread for a National Championship game since 1998 (I didn’t look past then, since everything was significantly less other than Florida State -12 and Bama -10 during a few seasons). So in the last 25 seasons, the Bulldogs are the highest favorited team and that does not bode well for TCU.
I don’t see any way possible TCU’s wins this game, and I will be riding UGA -13 easily. Stetson Bennett’s college career (and maybe football in general) will be coming to a close and he and the Dawgs will be going out on a massive high of back to back Nattys.
Go Dawgs!
Till Next Time,
Trevor
