College Football upsets are happening left and right! Updates to come through the day!
#21 Minnesota loses to B1G foe Purdue
Boiler Up! Purdue hands Minnesota their first loss of the season in a 20-10 final.
Minnesota QB Tanner Morgan, who is among top NCAA QB’s had a less than ideal stat line in the loss – 257 yd, 0 TDs, 3 INTs. While Purdue was unranked, the now 3-2 Boilermakers are a good program under head coach Brian Brohm who has turned down multiple jobs to remain in West Lafayette.
#14 Ole Miss knocks off #7 Kentucky
Will Levis and the Wildcats were not enough of a match for the Jaxson Dart led Rebels. Ole Miss knocks off top 10 Kentucky in a 22-19 win.
Will Levis, projected first round QB, was responsible for multiple costly turnovers. Including a fumble in the red zone with less than 2 minutes left in the game, to solidify Ole Miss’s victory.
Back to Back Boomer Losses
The Sooners fall to an unranked opponent for the second straight week, this week at the hands of TCU, 55-24.
Dillon Gabriel exited todays game after a big hit, and did not return. Next week the Sooners enter the Red River Rivalry without a starting QB, while Texas is hoping that Quinn Ewers is back after being out since week 1.
Demon Deacons handle Seminoles
#22 Wake Forest entered today +6.5 underdogs against #23 Florida State. However, the Demon Deacons handed the Seminoles a 10-point loss behind QB Sam Hartman, winning 31-21.
Hartman and the rest of the WF team was coming off a heart breaking OT loss to Clemson a week ago, and just happened to be a Weekend Pick$, pick for Postgame Tailgate this weekend.
Mike Leach Beats Jimbo Fisher
#17 Texas A&M loses its second game of the season today to the hands of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The Aggies entered the season as the #5 team in the country, and having the top recruiting class in the country (viewed by some to be the greatest in history), this lack luster performance to start the season is much to the chagrin of Aggie faithful.
Updates to continue throughout College Football Saturday.
