The Joe Flacco experience was fun while it lasted. It gave us all hope of a Browns/Ravens playoff matchup in which Flacco would beat the Ravens and all hell would break loose.
But, unfortunately, that story line has come to an end.
The Houston Texans went ahead and put a stop to all of our hopes and dreams to the tone of 2 Pick-6’s against Flacco and the Browns. Although the 2 interceptions will be to blame, that is only 14 points. The Browns defense, wide receivers, and lack of run game also contributed to this loss, it was not strictly Flacco’s fault. The final score of 45-14 ends the Browns hopes of a Joe Flacco miracle run through the playoffs.
Now, Cleveland has to go back to their Shouldn’t Be In The League QB next season, and pray that he can be a decent player (since he isn’t a decent human) for the salary they are paying him. Hopefully he doesn’t sit out with phantom injuries and ruin the season as he almost did this year before Elite Joe stepped up to the plate and led them to the playoffs.
CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans played amazing football today, with Stroud throwing for 3 touchdowns and 274 yards, with no interceptions.
The Houston Texans will now take on the Baltimore Ravens next week, unless the Dolphins or Steelers upset their opponents tomorrow/Monday night. With the NFL playoff format, the lowest remaining seed will play the Ravens. The Texans are the #4 seed, with the Dolphins and Steelers #6 and #7 seeds.
Till Next Time,
Trevor
